I’m a creative entrepreneur, artist, improviser, and facilitator who has spent more than two decades building a business, leading teams, and helping organizations communicate complex ideas with clarity.
My work lives at the intersection of creativity and strategy — shaped by improvisation, grounded in service, and strengthened by real-life leadership experience, both professionally and personally.
I bring a rare mix of entrepreneurial risk, professional creative execution, improvisational presence, service-based leadership, and lived caregiving experience — all rooted in the connecting power of laughter.
I founded ShaveFX more than two decades ago and built it into a respected motion graphics studio serving agencies and organizations nationwide. Leading a creative business through constant industry change has taught me resilience, adaptability, and what it really means to lead when the stakes are high.
As a published illustrator, cartoonist, and visual storyteller, I’ve spent my career translating complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives. Creativity, to me, isn’t decoration — it’s a strategic advantage that helps teams see differently and communicate more effectively.
With 30 years of performing and teaching improvisation, I’ve learned how to listen deeply, respond in the moment, and help groups navigate uncertainty with confidence. Improv isn’t about being funny on command — it’s about building trust, flexibility, and presence. And yes, laughter helps.
Through years of volunteer leadership, fundraising for childhood cancer research, and serving in inclusive community spaces, I’ve come to see leadership as an act of service. It’s about integrity, empathy, and building trust across differences.
Supporting aging family members and co-founding Yes AND Care has shaped how I understand communication, resilience, and dignity in complex situations. I bring that grounded perspective into every room I facilitate — recognizing that people carry more than what’s visible at work.
